Some of you may have noticed that the site has been down for the last few days because we exceeded our bandwidth limit. We would like to apologize for the inconvenience, and berate all the leechers who are responsible for this situation. (Just kidding.)
Thanks to the efforts of our top admins, we have brought the site back online, but we need your help to keep it that way. Our bandwidth is limited, and we need you to help us conserve it!
The following changes, effective immediately, affect the forums as a result of this situation:
- Minimum time between posts has been doubled to 10 seconds.
- Old topic warning on reply has been cut to 7 days from 14 days.
- Boards now have 20 topics per page (was: 50 topics)
- Threads now have 20 posts per page (was: 30 posts)
- Maximum thread size to show “all” posts in a thread on one page is 50 posts. (was: 150 posts)
These changes are permanent until further notice.
Downloads are also now being provided by visual-novels.net — consider checking them out (see left sidebar).
Frankly, I don’t think this would really cut off much of the bandwidth. In the first place, the forum was never really the reason why out bandwidth was drained. We didn’t have bandwidth problems before until I enabled the downloads 2 days ago from the site, no?
Well, I do really admit it was my fault, not to anticipate this before hand, though. XD
